Norwood

Settled in the early nineteenth century and originally called Sharpsburg, the City of Norwood enjoys a wonderfully convenient location between major highways and its own Norwood Lateral. The Norwood Indian Mound burial site is the highest point in Norwood. Ten minutes from Downtown Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky it has long been attractive to business and industry. Residents and others enjoy the very successful Rookwood Pavilion and Rookwood Commons on Edwards Road. Affordable housing options are numerous including single family homes and multi-family dwellings. Established in 1943, the Norwood Recreation Commission offers four playgrounds, three swimming pools, ball diamonds, tennis courts, and picnic areas. Visit their website for more information.
